Winter Berry

Paler skins in the winter doesn't mean we need to look like death, in fact its the perfect time to take a bit more time to look after our skin and freshen up the appearance with bright berry lips.
There's something about a berry colour stained lip that I just love. And it's even more smashing against winter skin that has gone paler over the colder months. My good friend Marissa is back on the blog, back for a bit of makeup play :)

I went through a major nude lip phase once, but I've since evolved, braved it up and loving bright pink and red shades available from both great high end makeup brands (like Chanel & YSL), mid-range brands (like MAC & NARS), but ESPECIALLY love the really affordable matte shades from the likes of Rimmel, L'oreal & Maybelline.

Keep your complexion natural and fresh with just a good moisturising base, light foundation or tinted moisturiser, and a bit of bronzer and blush for warmth on the cheeks. Keep the eyes natural with a neutral matte shade washed on the lids and a good flick of mascara on the upper and lower lashes. Slap on a good lippie, even a lipliner first if you can be bothered, and you're good to go with a beaut of a wintery look!
