^Floral Mini Dress / ASOS
^Shoes / Mollini (old)
^Lipstick / Rimmel No. 10 by Kate Moss
Sometimes a simple outfit is always best, just dressed with a red lip. This floral dress is a little on the short side, and I should've known better... I ordered the dress online not really thinking too much about it being called a 'mini dress', and then hoping the model was just on the tall side. Trying to find ways to wear it without flashing my bottom is proving a bit problematic, as I love the floral print a bit too much to give it away just yet!
I'm trying to find ideas to extend the length...perhaps turn it into top and skirt? Wear it over tights? Add a block colour trim?
Any ideas are welcome! Though if Sydney summer brings in firey summer heat, maybe this length will be ok... and I'll just remain standing when I wear it out :)!
Thanks to all of you who entered the giveaway, I've just been a tad busy with some friends that came over to visit in the last week, but I'll be counting up the entries and drawing it tomorrow night so stay tuned to find out if you won!

Dog Walking In Black and White
^Double stripe Black and white top / Forever21 (loving this and this also)
^Boyfriend jeans / Gap Japan (also seen here and here)
^Black and White Espadrille / Seed Heritage (also in Snakeskin pattern)
We can't take Bailey out to walk yet as he hasn't had his final vaccination, so sometimes we take him to the rooftop for a run around. Dog walking attire should be whatever makes you comfortable, and these black and white espadrilles from Seed Heritage (constantly sold out online, but I believe are available in store here in Australia) are the comfiest flats I've worn on first wear, for the longest time. I'm a total espadrille convert!
This Double black striped tee is so comfy and I love the sporty feel, making for a great 'on trend' active attire. It's a great top, should you start the day off thinking it was a bit cold...but then later finding the day getting warmer as the day goes on. The black stripes are actually mesh, so it's totally perfect for letting a bit of breeze through.
Anyways, I can't wait to take this little one out, he is itching for it I know, always wriggling around in my arms when I take him to the local shops! Until then, he currently bounds around our apartment playing fetch, bolts around on the rooftop and also plays with his other furry friends whenever he gets a chance.
If anyone has any tips on keeping white leather clean, that would be much appreciated, because I'm pretty sure the whiteness of these espadrilles isn't going to last! :)

Little Black Playsuit
There's no denying that all girls should have a little black dress (LBD) in their wardrobe to provide a bit of versatility and also back up for wearing out to any occasion.
Little Black Playsuits can also be just as versatile, especially for the non-dress wearing girls.
Apart from the obvious fact that I forgot to properly steam iron this playsuit before going out, I absolutely love how its airy, feminine and encompasses the unexpected lace detail. It can be dressed up, paired with a tailored blazer and heels to go out for a special occasion, or dressed down with flats and hair up for a casual affair.
^Little Black Lace Playsuit from Beginning Boutique
^Heels from ASOS
^Fuschia Pony Clutch from ASOS
^Sunglasses from Karen Walker
^Bejewelled Necklace (very old)
I love a good playsuit, long sleeves, no sleeves or short sleeves. I'm currently on the hunt for a long pant jumpsuit that will be light as a feather (it got to 33+ deg. cel. here in Sydney today!), that will also not make me look like I'm about to jump out of a plane to go skydiving.
If you don't like black, I would say the next versatile shade has to be navy blue! See the blue version here!
By the way Bailey says hi!
Hubaloo Jase and I are exhausted from training this little one to sleep and I've definitely turned into a puppy mama by getting far too excited and enthusiastic whenever BB Lee goes on the pet loo. Crazy! He's only been with us for 5 days (and we have also been sleep deprived for 5 days), but we absolutely love him to bits!
Hope you all are having a good start to the week!

Laser Cut Leather
^ Laser Cut Leather (faux) Top / Forever 21
^ Boyfriend jeans / Gap Japan
^ Leather & Wood Platform Sandal Clogs / Steve Madden (loving these and these too)
^ Leopard Clutch / Nine West
I saw a Facebook post the other day that proclaimed Leather is the new Denim. I'm not so sure about that. All I know is that even though Summer is around the corner in this neck of the woods, I'm not shying away from this typically Autumnal fabric (faux or real), especially when you can find laser cut versions like this top that will let in a bit of a breeze.
(tehehe look at those hairs on my arms)
Aside from the fact that I keep ripping bigger holes in these jeans every time I hurriedly put them on, I am loving them HEAPS. Whilst I love stretch denim, a non-stretch fit is great too... over the last few weeks these have fully molded to my bum (haha), and I am now on the hunt to find different shades of the same shape!
Rubber platform shoes are all the rage leading up to Summer, and this trend is making me fondly nostalgic of my platform wearing high school days. However this time around, I'm not loving the rubber version as much as the wooden or espadrille kind. Whilst these wooden platforms (some call these clogs) look crazy high, they are uber comfortable as the arch is at an acceptable angle, and the sturdiness of the platform and multiple straps makes them easy to walk in.
Happy hump day peeps! Thanks so much for reading!

Leopard & Graffiti
Oh yeh, not only do I love animals, I love a good animal print (faux of course!). Leopard is my fave and Zebra is a close second. One of my very first outfit posts here on M.L.P was leopard themed, and so you'll probably see me posting a lot of it here.
On the flip side, I love a good graphic print too and I'm always on the hunt for a piece of clothing that shows just the right amount of bold colours and also the right amount of urban cool. Until I find that though, I'll just stick to hanging out near cool Graffiti art walls :)
I know what you're thinking...perhaps I should have worn a bralet? Though I'm not sure that's flattering for the silhouette either! This shirt allowed the right amount of breeze through, which helped on the freakishly warm weekend. I only *clicked* my bra strap was showing when I looked through the photos just now... but then again Jase didn't say anything when he took this photo, so maybe it's ok? Little girls look away, you're only allowed to dress like this when you're much older like me :)
*Sunglasses Burberry B4065 Men's (love these too - Animal print arms!)
*Top by Forever 21
*Jeans by Lippy (super old)
*Flats by Steve Madden
*Necklace by Recreational Studio (borrowed from Hubster Lee hehe)
*Square Bangle by Tiffany & Co
Hope your week is going well peeps, thanks for reading, and stay cool!
